The origin of the word “tourist” date back to 1292 AD. It has come from the word ‘tour’. A number of experts have defined the term:

“Tourists are the voluntary temporary travelers, traveling in the expectations of pleasure from the novelty and change experienced on a relatively and non-current round-trip”.

“Tourist is a person who makes a journey for the sake of curiosity for the fun of traveling”.

Tourists are:

-Persons traveling for pleasure, health and domestic reason.

-Persons arriving in the sea of sea cruise.

-Persons traveling for convention.

Tourism – the first commercial venture.

A religious Englishman called Thomas Cook in 1841 arranged, for a fee, a one –day rail excursion from Leicester to Loughborough for 540 members of a temperance league. Thus the first bona fide travel agent was Thomas Cook.

While Cook himself did not make a profit on this first venture, he was a man of vision and was convinced that there was a need for a skilled “travel arranger”. So by 1845 he had become the first full-time travel agent, operating train excursions from Leicester. The next year he chartered a train and steamer for an excursion to Scotland for 330 people. In 1851 Cook arranged ocean steamship travel and accommodations for more than 1,50,000 visitors to the World Exposition in London and in 1856 he operated the first escorted “grand tour” of Europe. Tours to Europe and Middle East were also conducted and, in 1872, the first around the world tour was conducted.

Sukhothai was the first capital city of Thailand. Its name means “Dawn of Happiness”. It is located about 450 kgs. north of Bangkok. (take about 6 – 7 hours by bus or you can fly by daily flights to Sukhothai) There are a lot of interesting places in this ancient city esp. Sukhothai Historical Park which is the most amazing one. UNESCO declared the Sukhothai Historical Park a World Heritage Site in 1991. Sukhothai, therefore, is one of Thailand’s most visited ancient sites and Thailand travel destination.

The Sukhothai Historical Park is very large area and comprises the elegant ruins of Royal palaces, Buddhist temples, 4 city gates, walls moats, dams, water control system and much more. The ruins are very awesome and the grounds are magnificent. You can feel great Thai cultural and artistic significance. Sukhothai was known as a Kingdom of Happiness. So, images of Buddha sculptured during the Sukhothai era are cultural treasures which impart a feeling of peace and serenity. Transportation Means at Newark

1-Car Service

When it comes to business travel (on organization’s expenses, of course), car service hands down is the perfect way to travel from Newark to Manhattan and back!

CONS: Traffic can play role in deciding whether you are on time or not!

2-Taxi(s)

If a car service is not available, go get a taxi, that’s how it is in Newark! They can easily be considered the next best option in Newark.

COST: Metered fare (excluding tolls & taxes) to anywhere in Manhattan can go as high as $75 sometimes. If Newark is the destination then hail any cab and it’ll take one there.

The beaches, sun and sand are the main reasons people come for their HOLIDAYS IN SPAIN and especially to Torrevieja. If it’s swimming in the clear warm water that you’re after, then be wary of occasional undercurrents that exist close by. But if it is green then go ahead and enjoy your holidays in the Costa Blanca. For those wishing to enjoy the freedom of naturist swimming without a costume or clothes, you can find many beaches ideally suited for you, although most of those beaches do not have any of the usual services found on a normal tourist beach. In theory nudity is legal in Spain which essentially means that any beach could be a nudist beach, though most of the nudists generally use certain beaches that have no audience.

Almost all the beaches have Blue Flag EU ISO certification which ensures almost no pollution. They also have pedalos, playgrounds for children and at least a small bar serving snacks and refreshments, sun loungers and parasols. And with over 320 sunny days per year and an average temperature of over 20C, you’re sure to find sun almost any time. What better choice than holidays in the Costa Blanca for you and your family especially along the white sands of the coast?

If you are a sports enthusiast, someone who enjoys any sport or just a particular sport, the Costa Blanca is a place where water meets water sports and water sport enthusiasts together with the myriad of sports available. There are plenty of regular schools of all types ready to introduce the amateur water sport enthusiast into the blue Mediterranean water on their holiday. There is, for example, snorkelling, scuba diving, water skiing, sailing, windsurfing and fishing.
